MID WEEK RIDE REPORT—Tuesday September 18 2018—Kruisin’ Kilmore

This was my first Northern Mid Week ride, the trek across from the mid south was good with little traffic congestion today. At the meeting point at Tram-stop servo in Greensborough the sun was shining and all was good, a total of 13 members showed up here with another member meeting us at Kilmore. Wally Walsh was lead rider and Keith McCracken offered to be TEC. The fight was then on for report writer, the…

Mid-week ride report -Tuesday September 4 2018, Going Gippsland

Your scribe had not ridden with leader Ed for some time and expectations were that, as usual, this ride will be routed via interesting, winding, new-to-me, traffic-void roads with no stops for map checking. Yep, expectations were met! The Start. At Officer, one of the now well defined start points documented by Club Captain Sam, there were 13 bikes in cold but promised 18 deg max weather. Mention should be made in dispatches of those…

We were not too surprised when no-one else turned up for the ride, we were, however, committed to…

The previous few days had been very midwinter in character, with hail, rain and gales on Sunday, so when I peered out the window this Tuesday morning I was pleased to see mostly dryness. So it was on with the layers of kit, push the BM out on to the street and try not to wake up the neighbours. Riding north along the Greensborough bypass I noticed a two kilometre queue of traffic heading south…

Mid-week Ride Report – Tuesday 7 Aug 2018, Point Nepean

One of my pet hates is waking up on the morning of a Club ride to the sound of rain on the roof, even worse when you are the ride leader and can’t opt out on the grounds of inclement weather. So off in the rain to the departure point at BP Lyndhurst. John & Vicki were there when I arrived, and we were soon joined by Sam, Colin & Ray. After the obligatory ride…
